I have several posts without images. I would like for them to NOT show up in the featured slider. How can I set the slider to not show posts without an image?

There's no simple way to do this other than not putting the posts into the featured category, or adjusting the categories and adding a new one specifically for the slider and only adding posts with images here.
Modifying the code to exclude posts with images would involve rewriting the query in index.php but it's not worth it now custom post types have been introduced, the sliders for the latest themes use custom post types to give you absolute control over slides / portfolios and the next major update to the theme should include this.

Any update on when the new version will be out that allows us to choose whether or not a post contains a slider image? I look forward to this feature being added as it's hard to come up for a slider image for every post.
