I have linked the 4 columns on my front page to posts. How do I get the "Read More" button to show after the first sentence in the post. Right now it is at the bottom of the entire text in the post?

MemberThat's actually a Wordpress feature (and a very easy to do! :-)
When editing your post or page, insert the More tag wherever you want to split your text.
