I am trying to upload my new website using the Display theme, and everything is perfect apart from the prettyphoto. The slideshow works perfectly when I test it offline on my computer, but will not load when put online. I have all the files online in the exactly the same position as they are offline.
Can anybody please help me???
I’m loosing the will here :)
Here is the link where I am having problems;
Many thanks ( in advance)!February 25, 2011 at 10:09 am #41131
try to upload all images, etc. too – I get some 404 errors (not found) for all preview images…February 25, 2011 at 11:47 am #41132
Thanks. Isn’t it always the most obvious. My folder had an uppercase letter, and the coded didn’t. Doh!
Thanks!February 25, 2011 at 11:50 am #41133
One other quick question, how to amend the code, so that the little magnifier glass comes off the image when I roll off it?February 26, 2011 at 4:58 pm #41134
normally the maginifier appears when you hover the mouse over the image and disappears afterwards (like here: http://www.kriesi.at/demos/display/light/portfolio.html )February 26, 2011 at 11:47 pm #41135
Yeah . . . mine doesn’t do that. The magnifier stays on. Can you help me with what file I have to amend in order to fix this?
Thanks a million!February 27, 2011 at 9:13 am #41136
Do the original template files work correctly? If yes the problem may be related to a modification (html or js). If not try downloading the theme files again – maybe one is corrupt.February 27, 2011 at 2:09 pm #41137
I have downloaded all the original files, and they work fine within the template folder. I have overwritten the old template prettyphoto files with the newly downloaded files, and it still does not work. Can’t figure it out. . .
Can you point me in the right direction of where to look for inaccuracies?
Many thanks again!February 27, 2011 at 5:25 pm #41138
I think the problem is related to the changed portfolio html structure. Normally the structure looks like:
<div class="box box_small box1">
<a href="files/bigpicture5.jpg" rel='prettyPhoto[portfolio]'><img src="files/medium9.jpg" alt="" /></a>
<h3><a href="single.html">Funky Town Picture</a></h3>
<p>Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo conse.
<a class="more-link" href="single.html">Read more</a>
</div><!-- end .box -->
and your portfolio uses a table structure as far as I can see….
