Hi, I’m having problems with the prettyPhoto plugin not working with your Coalition WP Theme.

When I plug it in and activate it’s not working on my gallery page – http://www.cheshireselectestates.co.uk/gallery/ – the images just link to the image post rather than ‘popping open’.

Also when it’s activated the slider on the homepage stalls at image no. 2 out of 5 – http://www.cheshireselectestates.co.uk/

Do you have any ideas as to what may be causing this problem?

In addition if I turn off prettyPhoto and instead activate Shadowbox the hompage works fine, and the ‘lightbox effect’ works on the ‘gallery page’ but triggers off 2 versions, which isn’t ideal.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me – Regards, Rik.

    Hey,

I tried to access your website but I just see a dark grey “is coming soon” page. Basically you don’t need prettyPhoto plugin because prettyphoto is already implemented in Coalition.

Hey, sorry I should have switched off the ‘under construction’

That’s turned off as is prettyPhoto.

Here’s the gallery page I’ve got problems with – http://www.cheshireselectestates.co.uk/gallery/ – I’m thinking I’ve just missed a very easy setting in the admin somewhere but can’t figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Rik.

    Hey,

are you certain you’re linking to “file” in your gallery? If you don’t set the link to file it will link to the post where the image is attached. The following shortcode will display the gallery items in 7 columns, with your wanted effect:

    For example: [gallery link="file" columns="7"]

Sorted. I knew it was a simple fix – just never had to use the link=”file” shortcode with a WP gallery before.

Thanks for your help – Rik.
