I have a custom nav menu item with a sub-menu that functions as a dropdown on the primary navigation menu.

When I tap that item on my ipad the dropdown menu pops up perfectly.

The problem is that if you tap outside the menu or the primary parent menu item no matter what the dropdown menu won’t go away or collapse. You have to refresh the page to get the dropdown menu to disappear.

Tested on chrome and safari on ipad.

    Thanks -Raleigh

    Hey pageladder!

Can we see the page live and can you point out which menu item is causing the issue?

    Cheers!

What are you using to actually add in the menu and render it for tablets? I’m not getting any issues with it on my end but I’m also not sure what method you’ve added it in with.

Wordpress Menus then I have it set to display: none on other media queries non-tablet. The parent ‘menu’ item is liked with # in wordpress menus.

Using an older ipad with iOS 5.1.1(current)

Unfortunately I have no way to test on iOS back to version 5. I only have 6 and the current 7. One thing you can try is to use an actual url for the parent just to see if that is part of or the root of the issue.
