    Hi Enfold team,

I’m trying to edit text blocks using the visual drag-and-drop layout editor. I need to update information, but when I click the “edit” icon on the top of the text box, the text that should be there is not; there’s just a blank Text Box window that says “Click to add text.” This is happening on several pages.

An example is this page: http://meditation-dc.org/arlington/

Plugins, theme, and WordPress all appear to be up to date.

    Solution??

    Thanks!

    Hey vbcepc,

Thanks for the details, I see the problem you are describing. Could you try to recreate the content on a new page to see if that helps maybe? I would recommend that you use the layout builder elements as much as possible as opposed to only having all content in a text block. Could you try that please?

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard.

So basically what you’re saying is that the layout editor gets buggy when all the content goes into one text block? I have recreated the page using more elements and hopefully we can eliminate the bug. I’ll go through my other pages and recreate them using this method. Thanks for the advice.

    Hi,

Not really that it’s only a matter of content, but the builder tends to break if there is any open HTML markup unfortunately, and using the layout elements makes it a lot easier to spot open markup. I think creating a layout for users is easier using the elements as much as possible as well.

Example of properly closed HTML markup:

    <strong>Bold text closed properly</strong>

So I’m guessing that recreating the content worked out for you? If not then let us know and we’ll have a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
