    Guys,

I’m having another question in connection with the Advanced Layerslider.

I want to create a 100% width banner/backdrop against the background picture, so the header of my blog post and corresponding “Read” button are better visible on the slider.

I tried to create such a layer by defining the Layout & Positions: Width: 100%, Height: 180px, Top: 750px, Left: 0px. Under Misc. I defined the color rgba(0,0,0,0.6).

But the layer won’t display. It looks ok on the image above, but when I enter the Preview mode or look at the slider online, this layer won’t show.

Any ideas where I’m going wrong here?

FYI. At present, I accomplish this by having an image displayed (1920px x 180px), which does the trick after I increased the “Layers container” from 1,140px to 1,920px in the Full-with slider settings.

    Is that ok?

    Many thanks.

    Hi MadRhino,

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Hi,

Thanks for the login. I’m looking at your slider now but I’m not sure what the problem is or what you are looking to achieve with it. Could you try to explain a bit more please?

    Best regards,

    Rikard,

I want to achieve an effect that’s currently imaged-based. You see the layer “Banner”? It’s generated by a semi-transparent image,
I know that I can achieve the same effect – without the image – by defining a box in the Styles tab of this layer. Check it out and you will that the proper settings are already there. Now, if you were to eliminate to image from that layer, the desired effect would show, as expected, BUT, if I enter the Preview mode or look at the slider live on the site, the banner doesn’t show up. I don’t understand why? Can you help?

The reason why I prefer to create without the image (as is now), is because it’s more lightweight. Does this make sense now?

    Many thannks
