    Hello,

    I am trying to get a caption to appear beneath the enlarged “prettyphoto” image lightbox. I think it’s currently being hidden by css, but cannot seem to find out how to make sure it’s displayed.

    Is there a way to have the image’s “Caption” or “Description” from WordPress’ media gallery show up under the image?

    Hey cavanaughb!

    You have the prettyPhoto details hidden with:

    div.pp_details {
    display: none;
    }

    If you add the information to, I believe the description field for that image, then it should show.

    Regards,
    Devin

    Hey Devin,

    That would make sense! For the life of me, though, I can’t find that code. I searched the css folder and my Quick CSS.

    Do you have any tricks to locate that code?

    Thanks again,
    Brian

    Hey!

    Just insert following code into the quick css field and it should display just fine

    div.pp_details {
    display: block !important;
    }

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    The code you suggested brought back the play, previous, and next buttons, and the 1 of 2 text, but no caption can be seen. I’ve confirmed that each image has a description and alt text completed here: http://www.cathyweis.org/biography/

    Thanks again,
    Brian

    Just to follow-up, I inspected the lightbox element and found a weird “display: none” that I cannot find anywhere in my css. I tried to add display: block !important; to div.pp_description in my Quick CSS but that did not work either.

    <p class="pp_description" style="display: none;"></p>

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS

    p.pp_description { display: block; }

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    I placed the code in the Quick CSS, saved, then reset Safari and reloaded the page, but the description is still hidden. Not sure what to do!

    Thanks again.

    Hi!

    Try to add an !important tag to Yigits code

    div.pp_details, p.pp_description { display: block !important; }

    Regards,
    Peter

    I’m having the same problem.

    I have tried editing these directly in the prettPhoto.css file and in the quick css section of Enfold…

    I can not get either a title or description to appear…

    any suggestions?
