    Hi

I’m having problems indexing on google. The site is going on fine however I am also showing the following which I don’t want too
    http://www.dornochhighlandspice.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/

I tried disallowing it through robots.txt i.e. Disallow: /wp-content/themes/ however when I did that the pages were only partially rendered when I did a fetch as google.

Any ideas and how do I avoid going forward.

    Thanks

    Hey!

You can use a robot.txt file and block something to be scanned from google.
Please do and let us know if we can do anything else for oyu

    Hi

    I tried that thanks

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Disallow: /wp-includes/
    Disallow: /wp-content/themes/
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/
    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
    Sitemap: http://www.dornochhighlandspice.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml

But it doesn’t appear to be working. Also why is it happening as I have used a couple of other developers theme in the past and they seem to be okay.

    Thanks

    Hey!

As you added it, it requires some time for the google robot to read the new file and re-cache it.
    Please be patience

    Hi

Thanks. However what about the fact it happen in the first place how can I avoid it? Also what about if I remove/ hide the urls through Google search console until they are updated. Lastly the home page was only partial rendered when I did a fetch through Google it highlighted the wp-content/theme in the robots.txt as the issue.

I’ve been having the same problems with tons of links showing up as indexed in google, just like the one you posted. I have tried to block them via robots.tx, and used Yoast plugin to disable the framework form indexing, but nothign works. Very frustrating. Also google does not render the pages fully. I’m pretty much having to give up on the Enfold theme at this point and use something else. Never had this issue with any other theme.

    Hi

I know what you mean it really annoying plus I don’t know why its happening. I think I am actually going allow the theme and plugins in the robot.txt. and block the URLs through Yoast and remove them through Google Search Console. Hopefully that will stop google indexing them and allow the pages to be fully rendered. However this can’t be a new issue. Like you I’ve never had this issue with any other theme just Enfold.

    Hi,

Yes, you can ask google to remove the url or any information that you don’t want to display in the google search.

And if you want to completely block access to it, password-protect the file or directory:

    Best regards,
