Hi!
Love the theme so far!
I am having a bit of troubles when using the social media share function in a post.
When someone use them, or paste directly the link into social media, in a published post a random zoomed image (right now is using one of the instagram widget), instead of the featured image that I previously upload in the post. Makes ir really annoying because every time someone share any post they get to see the same annoying pic making it look like is the same pic when is not.Is there any way to configure it so the only image showcase is the featured image?

You can try using a plugin like Yoast SEO to control what image is being shared on social networks: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/

Thank you for your reply… I tried but is not letting me use that function in the “author” role and I need to give authors the ability to manage ONLY that… any suggestions or other plugin that you can recommend?November 1, 2016 at 7:35 am #706576Hi,
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by that, you want users to only be able to set the sharing image in the plugin and nothing else? I think you will need to customise the plugin to be able to do that, did you try contacting Yoast about it? Our support for third party plugins is limited unfortunately.

thank you for your assistance, I mean that the user role that I want to be able to set this up is the author. Sadly when I installed yoast only the admin can configure that out.
I was wondering if there is something in the functions file that can give the order to facebook to select only the feature image and not a random image out of the post area…
November 2, 2016 at 6:52 am #706967Hi,
Yes, but you would have to set the og:image tag: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters, as far as I know that is exactly what Yoast does for you. You have to set the image twice but it doesn’t take all that long.
