problems with widgets/footer

   I am trying to enable the widgets in the footer, but I am having a difficult time. I followed the instructions on this thread http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/add-widgets-to-the-footer-i-need-help, updating the footer.php, widgets.php and the css. now I am getting this error in the footer.

   Fatal error: Call to undefined function dummy_widget() in /home/fbclans1/public_html/newinstall/wp-content/themes/cleancut/footer.php on line 26

   this is my URL. http://www.fbclansing.org/newinstall. this is a test site for fbclansing.org.

   any help is appreciated. love the theme, but need to customize a little more.

   Hey,
   just go to Appearance > Widgets in your admin panel and add one or more widgets to the footer widget area(s). To get rid of the php error message open up the modified footer.php and delete following code:
   

   dummy_widget($columns);

   thanks Dude, that worked! One more thing,

   How do I match the background image for the footer to be the same as the slider background? I searched thru the threads and I couldn't find anything.

   I think this isn't easily possible because of the footer html structure.. It wouldn't expand the bg to fullwidth...

   Scratch that, I meant the opposite. kind of like mirroring this site with the footer image at the bottom. My footer background is currently white after I widgetized the footer.
