    Am using Flashlight 2.4.1 and WP 3.5.2. and Woocommerce 2.0.14 – product gallery images are not loading. Also, why doesn’t the support blog allow a search of only say, Flashlight theme issues? The only was to search support gives answers to all themes!

    Can you post the link to your website please?

    http://www.lindapirri.com/index.php the site is not fully operational as I have just started building it. I have been working on a products page among other things but there is not much there. If you go to http://lindapirri.com/index.php/product/among-the-vines/ you will see there is an image there, but the only way I was able to do that was to import the image into Gallery Options with image slideshow at the top of entry. Also, you will not see any images from variations, as they will not show up nor will any from the product gallery. You have a great theme but it is very frustrating to follow the directions and NOT be able to get things to work. Thanks for any help you can give!!

    Hi!

    Flashlight uses its own gallery management and the “product thumbnail” or “featured image” options don’t work. You need to upload your images with the green “Add Image to slideshow” button. The first image you uploaded will be used as “featured image”.

    If you want to change the image based on the variation selection you need to add a small script to wp-content\themes\flashlight\woocommerce-config\woocommerce-mod.js – you can insert it at the very bottom of the file

    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
        variation_adjustment('.variations select');
    });

    function variation_adjustment(select_el)
    {
        var selects = jQuery(select_el);

        //unify select dropdowns
        selects.each(function()
        {
            var el = jQuery(this);

            change_variation_image();

            el.on('change', function()
            {
                setTimeout(function(){
                    change_variation_image();
                }, 100);
            });

        });
    }

    function change_variation_image()
    {
        var currentVariationId = jQuery('.single_variation_wrap .variations_button input[name="variation_id"]').val(),
            productid = jQuery('form.variations_form').data('product_id'),
            variationsdata = jQuery('form.variations_form').data('product_variations');

        if ( !productid || !currentVariationId ) return;

        var currentvariation = variationsdata.filter(function (currentvariation) { return currentvariation.variation_id == currentVariationId });

        if(typeof currentvariation[0] == "undefined" || !currentvariation[0]) return;

        var imglink = currentvariation[0].image_link;

        if(imglink)
        {
            jQuery('.slideshow li a img').each(function()
            {
                var imgscr = jQuery(this).attr("src");

                if(imglink == imgscr || imglink.replace(/-\d+x\d+./, ".") == imgscr.replace(/-\d+x\d+./, "."))
                {
                    var index = jQuery(this).parents('li').index();
                    var container = jQuery(this).parents('.slideshow_container');
                    container.find('.slidecontrolls a:eq('+index+')').trigger('click');
                }

            });
        }
    }

    It will compare your variation image urls with the urls of your slideshow images and if the image urls match it will switch to the right slideshow image.

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hi!

    Afaik all other woocommerce features/functions which do not use the product gallery images are fully supported. The “product gallery” function was introduced in WC2.0 and we released Flashlight long before the WooCommerce devs decided to implement it (I think we released the theme with WC1.6.3). Thus it’s not easily possible for us to switch from the default gallery to the new WooCommerce gallery especially because such an update would break all existing galleries.

    All newer themes – namely Replete and Enfold – use the new product gallery feature and don’t rely on a custom gallery management because they were released after the WC2.0 update.

    No, afaik Envato doesn’t issue refunds if the theme works as intended. This is not a bug but the theme was designed this way and it’s not an incompatibility issue just because a theme does not support all features of a plugin – especially if the plugin function/feature was introduced after the theme release.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi!

    We really have no ability to do anything with the purchasing of the themes. All transactions are handled through ThemeForest/Envato.

    As far as I know there is no possibility for any discounts for ThemeForest other than discounts on bulk buying of credits.

    Best regards,
    Devin

    Hey!

    The reason is that the image src attribute points to the attachment page: http://localhost:8080/wordpress/?attachment_id=688
    If you don’t want to show a link to the attachment page but to the image itself you need to insert the right source path which points to the image file (i.e. to the jpg, png, gif, etc. file). If you use the “Add Media” button make sure that you select the right option: http://www.clipular.com/c?7852329=J6wM7m0FXEVnZ7cf_8PZmjx5jwk&f=.png

    Hey!

    It seems like the file is missing on your server – I get a 404 error when I try to open http://flashlight.thecommonknowledge.us/wp-content/themes/flashlight/woocommerce-config/woocommerce-mod.js in the browser.

    Best regards,
    Peter
