    So I haven’t really aded any new products since the upgrade, been trying to fix bigger issues.

    But now that I trying to add a new product the thumbnails are not the same size that this theme has always used.

    See the difference between:

    http://tinysartshop.com/product-category/drill-teamcheer/

    and

    http://tinysartshop.com/product-category/academic-designs/

    Would like to know what Im doing wrong or different or how to get back to the 150×150 consistency.

    Thanks

    Mike

    Option in individual product page edit page changed from “set featured image” which you would insert into post, changed to “Add to gallery” with no option to insert???

    Anybody run into this?

    Anyone? Could really use some help.

    1) Download & install http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and go to Settings > Media to check (and change) the thumbnail sizes. Make sure that the thumbnail sizes of “shop_thumbnail” and “shop_catalog” use the right dimensions. Then save the settings and regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    2) Yes, with WooCommerce 2.0 they introduced a new gallery option field which allows you to reuse existing media gallery images. Someone: http://www.woothemes.com/2013/03/hello-woocommerce-2-0/#comment-441865 posted a tutorial video.

    Dude,

    I was so excited to see your post. Downloaded plug, did everything you said. Still no work.

    I’ve been trying many different things to try and figure this out.

    I’ve set up a test page to help see what the deal is. (the tiles say it all)

    Dude, also,

    Watched the video showing the new Gallery options, that guy still had the “Set Featured Image” option on his backend. mine is not even there.

    OK, more info.

    I’ve gone in and checked to make sure that woocomm is creating the various sizes of images it likes to use. Yes, it is, I see 36×36 150×150 and about 8 more per product.

    So I went in and looked at the page source.

    the older created products are pulling in the 150×150 which is correct but the newer created products are calling in a 450×311???

    Any ideas why this would be?

    Hi Mike,

    You may need to go into the older products and re-save them. Additionally, when using the image sizes plugin make sure you have done the “regenerate thumbnails” step where it goes through all your sites images and re-generates the sizes based on the most recent functions/image size settings.

    Regards,

    Devin

    This really should be standard built into theme. I don’t want to have to go download 2 plugins to get consistent thumbnail sizes. This is seriously laziness on development. Is this going to be included in next update?

    Hi,

    I’m sorry you feel that way. You don’t really need the plugins. User request for them because they want this and that size. The thumbnail sizes on functions.php is all you need to create an awesome website.

    //register additional image thumbnail sizes that should be generated when user uploads an image:
    $avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] = array('width'=>36, 'height'=>36 ); // small preview pics eg sidebar news
    $avia_config['imgSize']['post-format-image'] = array('width'=>630, 'height'=>999, 'crop'=>false); // big images for post format image and gallery posts
    $avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>930, 'crop'=>false); // big images for lightbox and portfolio single entries
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>340); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>335); // images for portfolio entries (2,3,4 column)

    //dynamic columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['dynamic_1'] = array('width'=>446, 'height'=>151); // images for 2/4 (aka 1/2) dynamic portfolio columns when using 3 columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['dynamic_2'] = array('width'=>609, 'height'=>210); // images for 2/3 dynamic portfolio columns
    $avia_config['imgSize']['dynamic_3'] = array('width'=>688, 'height'=>151); // images for 3/4 dynamic portfolio columns

    Regards,

    Ismael
