I work in Firfox 16.0.2 and all seems to work fine. But in Firefox 15.0 and in Chrome the products will not go in to the cart. How can this be solved en how can i be sure that is works fine in al the other browser versions. Is this a thing for my hosting company? I read something about it on this blog, but i did not understand it completely. I hope you can fix this, thank you in advance!

Hi, I work in Windows. In Chrome on category level the products will not go in the cart widget at the top. On product level it seems to work fine. I am worrying that my customers experience problems with this, because they pointed out to me. I work in Firefox 16.0 and that works fine as well. So many people, so many browsers... what can I do?

Hi Anita,
I believe it's because you are running an older version of the theme files which has not been updated to work with the new version of WooCommerce.or even Wordpress 3.3+.
It looks like you've done a lot of customization to the theme so when you download the new version from Themeforest (under your downloads) you'll need to look at the version.rtf inside the main zip and look at what items/pages have been updated so you can manually update them and backup your changes to be re-applied.

Where can I see the version of Abundance? All the plugins give you an update for a new version. Abundance won't do that?

The theme isn't registered with the wordpress database like plugins as its only available through Themeforest. So there is no notification system in place.

Releases tend to coincide with changes to Wordpress or in this case WooCommerce since its such an integral part of the theme. Just about any time there is an update of Wordpress you should check if the theme you are using got an update as well and any major release of WooCommerce too.

Hi Devin, I upgraded Abundance to the last version. In Chrome the avia cart is still not working. You get informed that products are added but no products are shown in the cart at the top. Only if you click through, you will see the products I hope this problem can be solved... thanks for your time!

Hi Anita,
It could be that something else is interfering with the ajax to add the cart live since the way I'm seeing the behavior is the products get added but the cart does not get updated until page reload.
Try disabling all active plugins besides WooCommerce and testing the add to cart. Maybe sure to refresh the page a few times so you aren't getting any cache issues before testing.

Hi Anita,
As Peter first mentioned, I believe there is just a huge delay from your server on sending back the response that puts the items in your cart. It takes 3-4 seconds for the item to be shown going into the cart via ajax.
I've tagged Peter on the topic to see if he has any ideas on what might be causing such a delay and what could be done to speed it up.

OK, thanks. Today I downloaded a plugin of WooCommerce Advanced Ajax Layered Navigation and the shop slider row on the front page goes crazy. The slider is not active, you have to scroll it manually, but with the layered plugin the slider slides very fast.
So, because this is also Ajax, it seems to be that nothing with Ajax will work... I am very curious what this could be... Thanks for your time and have a nice weekend!

The latest plugin of the layered nav widget is just from 2 days ago (plugin is not active). The issue with the ajax shopping cart is from the beginning. The shopping cart is only working in Firefox 16. Do you have any solutions, or Kriesi? There are no orders coming in and that's makes it very difficult...

might i suggest editing the wp-config.php and adding
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
or find the line that says
define('WP_DEBUG', false); and change to true
then load the cart and see what errors pop up.
also there is this

I have not tested this plugin myself though.
the issue I had with no items appearing in my cart was a plugin called Share your cart
the items were still in the cart, but it would not display them till i clicked checkout.
