Referring to an earlier post: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-items-not-appearing-on-category-page/ I still have problems with new post not appearing where the should be. I have a new blog post and it is not showing on the front page. I also have two new events created which do not appear on the events page: http://www.bigdata-startups.com/big-data-conferences/. The two events are: http://www.bigdata-startups.com/BigData-startup/big-data-innovation-summit-january-22-23-2014/ and http://www.bigdata-startups.com/BigData-startup/big-data-innovation-summit-santa-clara-april-9-10-2014
How can I fix this problem so that in the future this does not happen any more?

Make sure you have the categories you want shown in the portfolio sections and that everything is labeled with categories as needed.
Also make sure that you don’t have any portfolio sections in the admin that have no page designation. If so, click on the red X to delete theme.

Thanks for your reply. I made sure that everything is set up correctly. The problem is that it has worked for over 1 year correctly and only since recently new portfolio categories are not appearing anymore on overview pages and latest blogposts are not appearing anymore on the homepage. Only when I reset everything as the way Josue did in the before mentioned post it works again. But that is of course annoying to do every day when I upload a new portfolio or blog post.
Is there anything else that could cause the problem?

I just realized you aren’t updated to the most recent version of the theme which brings it up to compatibility with WordPress 3.8.
Before anything else, go ahead and re-download your theme files from themeforest and then update the theme so that its brought up to compatibility.January 24, 2014 at 3:23 pm #214443
