    Trying to design a site http://www.britphones.com

    I am a complete novice and knew nothing about CSS or websites until a few days ago, but am learning fast.

    After much effort, I have managed to work out most of the basic formatting that I need on the home/welcome page, but my drop down menu contains white print on white background and I want to change the background to black.

    I have searched high and low on the web for a solution and cannot find any Quick CSS coding which works.

    My existing Quick CSS under “Propulsion>>Theme Options>>Styling” is below.(I stole most of this from another website that someone else designed for me and have been trying to customize it)

    I have been trying to resolve this for days and it’s the last thing that I need to sort out to get my basic site styling up and running. Any help gratefully received! Many thanks, Slobdiddy

    Hey slobdiddy!

    Thank you for using the theme!

    Please use this to change the font and background color of the drop down menu:

    #top .main_menu .sub-menu li a {
    color: gray;
    background: red;
    }

    Change the color values.

    Cheers!

    Ismael this is brilliant thanks. I spent a couple of days trying to work this out and the answer is a nice simple one. I really appreciate your help.

    I don’t suppose you can also tell me how I drop the main menu down a little lower so that it is say 10 pixels up from the bottom of the container?

    Many thanks, Slobdiddy

    Hi!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS as well

    .main_menu { top: 80px; }

    Regards,

    Thanks so much, this works perfectly. Again, I had tried a whole bunch of code that didn’t work.

    With a little support from you guys this theme is great!
