    Hello,

    I would like to ask if it is possible to remove the LightBox/PrettyPhoto in order to use another Lightbox/Fancybox script….

    The reason I am asking is that it is quite annoying that on single image views the previous/next arrows are showing up in the Lightbox which comes with the Propulsion theme(which is a really gorgeous theme by the way!). If for this issue there is no easy fix I would prefer to use another Lightbox script but I am not sure how exactly I can remove the existing one.

    Thanks a lot in advance for you help!

    Hi,

    If you want to disable prettyPhoto, open js > avia.js and find this code

    //activates the prettyphoto lightbox
    if(jQuery.fn.avia_activate_lightbox)
    jQuery('body').avia_activate_lightbox();

    Replace it with

    //activates the prettyphoto lightbox
    //if(jQuery.fn.avia_activate_lightbox)
    //jQuery('body').avia_activate_lightbox();

    Regards,

    Ismael

    That worked, thanks a lot!

    Maybe you can help me also with my next question:

    whereas the Lightbox/Fancybox script works on all posts/products/pages which are in the original language (German), it does not work on the slideshows/featured images of all translated (English) posts/products/page.

    The script works on translated posts/products/page with for example a nextgen gallery but not on the the propulsion sildehows.

    Same thing is happening when I do activate again your LightBox/PrettyPhoto (removing the other script)….moreover the links on the feature image (slideshow) to the post are not working on the translated posts(only the post title link works).

    WooCommerce Version 1.6.5.2

    Wordpress DE-Edition 3.4.2

    WooCommerce Multilingual 1.3

    WPML 2.6.1

    Thanks a lot again in advance for your help!

    Hello Peter,

    the website is:

    http://www.oh-love.de/en/

    and the problem described happens on the second language site (english) on the posts (news & specials) as well as on the products.

    I have also tried a test install with no other plugins only:

    WooCommerce Version 1.6.5.2

    Wordpress DE-Edition 3.4.2 (also tried out the english one)

    WooCommerce Multilingual 1.3

    WPML 2.6.1

    and the same problem occurs.

    On this test installation (have not tried it yet on the live site) there was also a problem already when creating a product or a post with the slideshow:

    If I create a slideshow with 1 image publish and translate this post, if I add another image afterwards (to the 1st language) this does not get saved to the 2nd language, neither can I add another image in the second language).Even if I do create the 1st language post with more then 1 image in the slideshow, only the first image is saved to the second language and again I cannot add images to the second language.

    Thanks!

    Hey!

    Hi mallow,

    I’ve tagged Peter on this post as I’m not very familiar with WPML and am not sure what is happening from your description.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Best regards,

    Peter

    Thank you…..looking forward to have news from Peter then!

    Did you check the slide settings? Maybe you set the link option to “No link”? Tbh I see no reason why WPML would remove the lightbox (and didn’t come across a similia issue yet).

    #95505

    Hi,

    the translated one has the same link settings as the original post/product :Link to this Post or Open Lightbox when clicked…..but it only works on the original language and not on the translated one.

    To reproduce this issue (as well as the one with the images not getting saved to the translated post/product as described above) I have made a fresh test installation and I can send you the login credentials via email.

    Hello,

    since Peter (Dude) said that he might have found the cause of the problem and nearly 1 month has passed, I was wondering if there are any news about this issue.Until now my second language website (English) is quite useless with all the mentioned things not working right.

    Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

    Hey mallow,

    Kriesi is just now getting to his queue and addressing the issues from the past couple of months. This topic is still in there so its just a matter of time before he is able to address it one way or another.

    Unfortunately it seems the problem we found and could solve was not the one causing the WPML issue. we were able to fix a lot of javascript errors that were thrown and made part of the backend unresponsive but fixing that unfortunately didnt fix the WPML issue that prevents the post form saving its own meta value.

    At this point my reommendation would be to ask in the WPML forums for assistance. they have much more experience whith issues like that and are probably able to solve it faster than we ever could…

    #95514

    Hello,

    first of all thanks for your reply.

    Do the javascript fixes, fix the issue with the product images in second language not opening in the lightbox ,as well as the issue the “feature image” of a post not opening the link to the post page? If yes that would so far be enough for me in order to get the second language frontend to work…..and I would be happy :).In this case where can I get the updated version?

    If the above mentioned issues do have to do with what you say “WPML issue that prevents the post form saving its own meta value”, please let me know also so I can try to get assistance from WPML.

    Thanks again for your time & help!

    Hi mallow,

    Kriesi just updated the new theme updates to Themeforest so whenever the update has been approved it will be in your Downloads on Themeforest.

    Regards,

    Devin
