Put a slider and portfolio at front page issue10 posts from 4 voices
If you have not yet set up any pages or posts with your Wordpress installation, you can use the Dummy data button as a good place to start. It will set up pages/posts/portfolio items with the proper settings to look like the demo site.
If you already have pages set up, you will need to use the Template builder to create a page that has similar elements. There are some good video tutorials to help you out located here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/angular/template-files/video-tutorials/
the issue to put the portfolio at front page is solved. :-) but i have another question, i have an issue when i trying to upload an images to portfolio(as featured image/image to slideshow). please see below images:
"HTTP error" appear. even after i renamed the images name. and all the images is below 1mb. so i really need your advice what should i do.
btw, the size of the image is 1000x962 pxl :-)
the image issue solved after i resize the height to max 600 pixels. and i have a problem that i dont understand why when i try to open my portfolio-item it will open by default under "blog" folder . please see below:
i dont have any "blog" pages created. so please advise since when i open the ww.abc.com.my/en/blog/ > Error 404 - page not found
Check your permalink settings (Settings > Permalinks). If "blog" is part of the permalink just delete the slug and save/refresh the permalink. If you're using a multisite installation you maybe need to change the blog url on the network admin option screen.
i did check the Permalinks page and the Blog is already set and i dunno how its happen. please advice any other way how to remove the "blog". Thanks
I believe it has to do with how the site is installed with wordpress and your server and not related to the actual theme. If you installed the blog with a one-click install through your hosts interface, you might try contacting them to see if they have dealt with the same peramlink issue with others before.
Hi I try install the dummy data but it fails and with pop up that says
Importing didnt work!
You might want to try reloading the page and then try again
(The script returned the following message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 38023 bytes) in /home/ribbit/public_html/wp-content/themes/angular/framework/php/inc-avia-importer.php on line 31
You need to increase the allocated memory. I'd increase it to 128M. More details can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
