    hi, i’m trying to put a 300px width ad onto the sidebar, but think it gets cropped. Is there a way to show the ad fully?

    thank you

    Hi Jimmyliew,

    That big of an image is definitely getting cut off. The Sidebars are a grid four which is 290px wide to start wtih. They then have a 29px padding which brings the actual space within the sidebar to 261px. If you make your ads 261px wide, they should fit without any clipping.

    Hi Devin, thanks for the reply. As I’m serving the ads from an ad server, will have to see if i can self-host the images instead.

    Thanks much.

    If the images or the code offers a custom class you can also try to use the max-width: attribute to limit the width with css code.

    Hi. I see the original poster wanted 300px and then decided to find ads that fit within less than 300px. I want 300px ads from google. Please tell me how to adjust the custom.css file so that I can serve ads at 300px without changing the width of the content. If this means widening the entire page by 50 pixels (or whatever is needed, that is fine).

    I am using the original style.css with corona and the minimal-css theme with corona.

    add to custom.css:

    .content, #top .fullwidth .template-blog.content {
    width: 569px;
    padding-right: 30px;
    float: left;

    .sidebar {
    width: 300px;

    Best regards,
