Just wondering if there is an easy way to randomize the images in the Jquery slider on the front page.
Even better, can I display the same first image each time the page loads and and then randomize all images after that?
Any constructive, helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not aware of an easy way to randomise the order of slides for Display (this uses a dynamically generated XML file to load the content).
I’ll ask Kriesi to have a look into this for you.
I am sorry but I too can’t think of an easy way to pull that of, without rewriting a major portion of the code that generates the XML file. If you want to pull it off: it is possible by editing the function that outputs the slides in folder framework/theme_plugins/kriesi_menu_manager/kriesi_slider_display.php
depending if you want to change the jquery slider or the cu3er slider you need to edit the cu3er function or the show_basic function. in both cases, instead of directly echoing the images or XML nodes you would need to store them to an array and then shuffle that array before output.
If you really need this you can ask one of the guys here to help you, they are available for freelance work:
