    I am trying to reduce the sidebar width on my blog (Theme: Newscast).

    I tried using the option provided in another discussion post: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/resizing-columns/ – I added the code provided in the Edit CSS option under Appearance on the WP Dashboard, but it does not work.

    My website is http://www.healthinsuranceschool.com

    Can you please help check what’s wrong?

    Hi upaay!

    Please add following code to bottom of Style.css file in Appearance > Editor

    #top .fullwidth_sidebar {
    width: 270px; }
    .sidebar { float: right; }

    Cheers!

    Thanks Yigit, It did change the width of the sidebar.
    My main purpose though was to use the space created by reducing the sidebar for the main content column.
    I would like to use the space created by reduction of the sidebar width to increase the width of the larger column, the main content column.
    Thanks again.

    Regards,
    Mahavir

    Yigit thanks, I tried to change the parameters in your code but unfortunately it widens the bar left but the writing remains the same width … and if you do not modify the code of the sidebar all the widgets I go to the bottom of the page as there are in the size … this is the link of my site http://www.blackberryclic.com/, what you see and ‘the best I could to bring the post to the sidebar, I wanted to try to decrease the white space that remains before the sidebar, in your opinion can you do? thanks

    I wanted to if it was possible to enlarge the space also because ‘the images in the posts are cut off if over a certain size
