    Hello! On the Live Demo of Habitat, each post shows only a small portion of the entry then a [read more] button is displayed, which will take the visitor to the full entry when clicked. How come I dont have that option?

    You need to set a read more tag. In your post/page editor use following code to mark your preview:

    <!--more-->

    I.e it looks like:

    and I told him that he should get moving or I'd be
    on him like a limpet. He looked at me with shock on
    his face and said

    <!--more-->

    Other content.......

    Hi Dude,

    I noticed that when I clicked on the [Read More] button, it goes straight to the continuation of the text on the next page. Can I change this functionality, so that it starts from the top?

    This is a built-in part of WP (i.e. not something the theme determines), I am not sure it can be changed without modifying the actual WP code which isn’t recommended because it will break on updates.

    I found following code snippet on: http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More

    function remove_more_jump_link($link) {
    $offset = strpos($link, '#more-');
    if ($offset) {
    $end = strpos($link, '"',$offset);
    }
    if ($end) {
    $link = substr_replace($link, '', $offset, $end-$offset);
    }
    return $link;
    }
    add_filter('the_content_more_link', 'remove_more_jump_link');

    Just copy the code above in your functions.php file after

    <?php
    global $k_option;

    Hey!

    Cool Dude, I wish I’d found that a year ago when someone else asked about the same thing.

    Regards,

    Noah
