    Hi guys,

    Two questions here regarding the header of the page on Clean Cut:

    Could you please tell me where can I adjust the padding on the top Navigation Bar next to logo?

    My menu has 6 items and the first one is overlapping the logo area. I noticed that the CleanCut demo also has 6 items, but somehow the “boxes” are not as wide.

    Also

    Elementia and Expose themes display an additional “bar” on the top (used to display a search button and some other info/social icons)

    Would it be possible to get your help on tweaking CleanCut to achieve the same effect? (I’m trying to add a link to Spanish version of my page and I kinda like the idea of having a “button”/link separated from the main navigation bar)

    As usual, your input is greatly appreciated!

    P.

    Hi again,

    Just wondering if somebody may be able to give me some advice on this topic.

    THANKS!

    Hey,

    can you post a link please. I want to investigate the site with firebug first.

    :-( Here I go with my usual dumb reply: “My site is not live yet” … :-(

    I was going to look into padding settings or something like that, but have not had the chance to investigate in which file I could find that…

    Any shortcuts you may have?

    Thanks in advance Dude!

    Update: Since I last posted, I changed font-size:13px on Line 32 (style.css)

    Now, at size 12px, my navigation bar seems to like it! … Not exactly the most technical solution out there, but so far it seems to work…

    I am still curious about the padding option though, in case that you have the chance to tell me in which line I can find that. (if it exists at all ) … THANKS!

    Hey,

    in general you can change the padding by editing following code in style.css:

    #top .nav a{
    height:30px;
    line-height:30px;
    display:block;
    padding:0 21px;
    text-decoration:none;
    text-align:center;
    outline:none;
    z-index:35;
    position:relative;
    float:left;
    }

    Change padding:0 21px; as you like, i.e. to padding:0 10px;

    P.S. What are your thoughts on the second part of my original question?

    Elementia and Expose themes display an additional “bar” on the top (used to display a search button and some other info/social icons)

    Would it be possible to get your help on tweaking CleanCut to achieve the same effect? (I’m trying to add a link to Spanish version of my page and I kinda like the idea of having a “button”/link separated from the main navigation bar)

    As usual, your input is greatly appreciated!

    THANKS for ALL your help!

    You can create a div (i.e. with different background styling, etc.) and use position:absolute to display it where you want to. You can also use border-radius, etc. styling to customize the design a bit.

    Great! Thanks for your input dude. I’ll update back in a few weeks if I’m able to make some progress on that custom item. :-)
