    Hello,

    This is my first time using your support forum and am hoping you can help me figure this out. I am using the frontpage template from the dummy content with some customizations in a child theme.

    I have removed the “latest portfolio” and “latest products” and changed the four column shortcodes under the slider to five columns.

    Under the five columns, I have split the next row into 2/5 column, 2/5 column, and 1/5 column. The first 2/5 is regular content and the last 1/5 is a newletter signup. The second 2/5 column is where I would like to place the most recent blog post (with featured image, title, and summary excerpt).

    I found this code:

    <?php
    $args = array(
    'numberposts' => 1,
    'cat' => 1
    );
    $posts=get_posts($args);
    if ($posts) {
    foreach($posts as $post) {
    setup_postdata($post);
    ?>
    <h3><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link

    to <?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h3>
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    <?php }
    }
    ?>

    With this I can get the post I want to show on the home page under the regular content, but I would like it to be placed within the column mentioned above. I realize that with css I could set a div id for it, but am wondering if this will still respond correctly with the responsive element of the theme.

    Can you please help me with this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    You can’t insert php codes on the editor. You can use the Insert Shortcode Wand > Widgets > Latest Post shortcode.

    Regards,

    Ismael
