Redirect category pages to latest post in each category?

Hi

I have created 3 category pages, each containing posts in that category. I have links to those pages in my main menu, and from Magazine headers on the homepage.

Now I’ve now decided that I’d prefer my visitors to be taken directly to the URL of the latest post in each category, NOT to the category page. (I have like buttons at the bottom of posts which don’t appear on the category pages.)

Can I do this with a redirect of some sort? I have investigated this on the WP forum and I don’t really follow the discussons. Are there special considerations for Enfold users? Eg in the Magazine element, you have to specify a link for the Header – how can you link to the latest post in a category?
