Reduce background image fade speed

   Is it possible to slow the fade between background images?

   Hi dngood,

   Yes, your background image depends on the page that is opened, for example, on your Homepage, the background slider (images and its settings) are found on the page that you set as the Frontpage. Edit the page you set as frontpage and go to Gallery Options and find "Gallery Autorotation", the default value is set to 5 (5 seconds), just change this value. Hope this helps. :)

   Thanks for the answer, but I want to change the actual transition duration, not the time each image is shown (i.e. I want the fade action to be slower).

   Hi dngood,

   Kindly open wp-content/themes/flashlight/js/avia_fullscreen_slider.js and find this code:
   animationSpeed:700
   replace 700 with another value. Just be careful that you don't change anything besides the 700. Hope this helps. :)

   Thanks that worked beautifully.

   Can I ask if there's any way for this to be applied through a child theme - I tried adding the amended js file under the same directory structure within the child theme, however it still loads the old /themes/flashlight/js/avia_fade_slider.js URL

   Hi Dave,

   I'm not sure how to make it work on a child theme, the solution I can think of is to change it in the parent theme (the child theme, should inherit it) and make a backup of it.
