    Hello,

    1) I would love to remove the category thumbnail container boxrs entirely or at least have them be the same size as the category images on my home page: http://test.nhousepublishing.com/

    I have placed various codes in the quick .css box, but alas, I can’t seem to remove the bottom part. This is what I have now.

    .product .thumbnail_container {

    padding: display: none;

    }

    2) Also, the Avia slider thumbnail resizes certain images, but not others…I resized them and re-uploaded them several times and used Simple Thumbnail Plugin to regenerate them. Can anyone tell me what I have dome wrong?

    3) also, is it possible to show an image in the video thumbnail instead of the current black box that is there?

    I appreciate any guidance I could get on this. Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

    1.) Did you finally remove the category thumbnails?

    2.) You can open functions.php then find this code.

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>340); // big images for fullsize pages and fullsize 2D & 3D slider

    Replace the width and height.

    3.) Try to create a video thumbnail then link it manually to the video.

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Thanks for your reply Ismael.

    1. No, I still have not removed the category thumbnail containers. there is a grey extra space under each thumbnail on the homepage. I have tried everything I have found in the Forum up to page 12 and by searching thumbail container and nothing has worked…still looking.

    2. What size should I change them to for the Avia slider with Thumbnail?

    3. I am talking about the black thumbnail in the avia slider. Will your solution still work for that?

    Hi, I made the change on #2, but the avia slider is still the same. Still stretching the images in a strange way. can you think of any other way to fix this?

    Also, still no answer to #1 or #3.

    Can someone please recommend any solutions? Thanks.

    Hi MaryMcBeth,

    For your initial #1, remove the css you have added so far as the format is incorrect and may cause issues with some browsers. What you’ll need to do with those sizes of images is hard code the height of the container. Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    .thumbnail_container_inner {
    height: 215px;
    }

    #2, the images you are using are too small for the space and is causing the slideshow to stretch them to make them fit. For the slideshow style you are using, you’ll need to use images that are at least 697px wide by 340px tall.

    #3, you can assign a video thumbnail by first uploading the image to the Featured media then selecting “Embed video when image is clicked…” for the link option. Then put in your video link in the field that appears.

    Regards,

    Devin
