    Hi, I’m trying to remove all of the footer (everything below the Welcome Message) except for the copyright and social media icons – including the 3 columns, the widgets, and the contact image for the Display Theme.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, this removed the widgets, worked perfectly. I would also like to remove/hide the three columns under the Welcome Message.

    And, if possible, I’d like to keep the social media buttons (I have a separate post asking about LinkedIn.)

    Hey,

    in this case use following footer.php code:

    <?php global $k_option; ?>
    </div><!-- end #top -->
    </div><!-- end #wrapper -->

    <div class='wrapper' id='footerwrap'>

    <div id='footer'>

    <div class="box box_custom_footer">

    <!-- copyright text -->
    <p><?php echo $k_option['footer']['copyright']; ?></p>

    <!-- social bookmarks -->
    <ul class="social_bookmarks">
    <li class='rss'><a class='ie6fix' href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">RSS</a></li>
    <?php
    if($k_option['footer']['acc_fb'] != '')
    echo "<li class='facebook'><a class='ie6fix' href='http://facebook.com/".$k_option['footer']['acc_fb']."'>Facebook</a></li>";

    if($k_option['footer']['acc_tw'] != '')
    echo "<li class='twitter'><a class='ie6fix' href='http://www.twitter.com/".$k_option['footer']['acc_tw']."'>Twitter</a></li>";

    if($k_option['footer']['acc_fl'] != '')
    echo "<li class='flickr'><a class='ie6fix' href='http://www.flickr.com/people/".$k_option['footer']['acc_fl']."'>flickr</a></li>";

    ?>
    <li class='linkedin'><a class='ie6fix' href="http://my-account.com">linkedin</a></li>
    </ul>

    </div>

    </div><!--end footer-->

    </div>
    <?php wp_footer();

    if($k_option['general']['analytics'])
    echo $k_option['general']['analytics'];
    ?>
    </body>
    </html>

    Please note that I added a linkedin code line – instead of http://my-account.com fill in your linked in profile url. Then open up style1/2/3.css and add following css code:

    .wrapper #footer .social_bookmarks .linkedin a{background: transparent url(../images/skin1/linkedin_16.png) 0 0  no-repeat;}

    At least upload the linkedin image to images/skin1 folder and call it: “linkedin_16.png”

    Great! The LinkedIn button is working perfectly, but the three Mainpage Columns under the welcome message are still there. Can they be removed or hidden?

    Thanks so much, Dude!

    Hey,

    in index.php delete following code:

    <?php

    ######################################################################
    # 3 Boxes are created here, with the class "kclass_display_box" (located in framework/classes/)
    # content that is passed here is the html output if the
    # "output by html(default)" is choosen in the backend
    #
    # if you want to edit the html directly you can do this here. you can
    # enter your images directly as well if the size is already ok
    # or you might want to uncomment and change the paths of the placeholder
    # images i used here
    #
    ######################################################################

    // the kriesi_build_image function used here checks if the image should be resized.
    // it returns the resized image if the size is larger than the parameters provided
    // the function is located in framework/helper_functions

    $placeholder_image1 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium1.jpg';
    #$placeholder_image2 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium1.jpg';
    #$placeholder_image3 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium1.jpg';

    $placeholder_image1 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image1,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    #$placeholder_image2 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image2,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    #$placeholder_image3 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image3,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));

    $placeholder[1] = $placeholder_image1.'<h3>HTML Template „Display“</h3><p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. //call class
    $boxes = new kclass_display_box('mainpage','mainpage_column','Mainpage Column', $placeholder);
    $boxes-> prev_image(array('height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    $boxes-> display();
    ?>
