    HI.

    Any way to remove the words “Home”, “About”, “Contact” etc from appearing at the top of the page (but not the Menu itself). It seems redundant on some pages

    #38073

    Hey,

    can you post a link so that I can see which headlines you’re refering to.

    #38074

    Yep,here’s the site.

    http://aswitchersguide.com/

    I don’t want the words “Home”, “About” etc showing up on their respective page above the content. I only need these words, or headings to show up in the Menu for navigations purposes.

    Thanks

    Hey,

    you can remove this headings by editing single.php, page.php and template_fullwidth.php:

    Search for folloing code and delete it:

    <h1 class="siteheading">
    <a href="<?php echo get_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="<?php _e('Permanent Link:','habitat')?> <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?>
    </a>
    </h1>

    How to increase the width size of the site?

    #38080

    Hey,

    I’m sorry but I don’t know a good plugin which can display images as filmstrip slideshow. You can change the width by editing following css code in style.css:

    .boxed{
    position: relative;
    margin:0 auto;
    width:1000px;
    padding:15px 0;
    }

    .center, .breadcrumb{ /*center content area */
    position: relative;
    margin:0 auto;
    width:930px;
    padding:0px 25px;
    }

    However Kriesi used a background image for the boxed version so you’ll need to adjust it too. Other elements are optimized to the current width – if you extend it some things will be messed up. Please be aware that we can’t support this modification anymore.

    Hey,

    You also need to remove the h1 code from your “templatefullwidthcopy.php” file – this is what is loading on the homepage.

    Since this is not a standard theme file I can’t guide you, if you need help please upload the file to http://pastebin.com and link to it here.

    Hey,

    I think you’re using another template (not the template you posted @pastebin). Your site shows the headline within a h1 tag:

    <h1 class="siteheading">

    The code you posted doesn’t contain h1 tags so it’s not the right template.

    Sory but this the right theme and the right file

    No answer?

    #38087

    Hey,

    In your fullwidth copy file, you need to delete this code:

    -->

    <h1 class="siteheading">
    <a href="<?php echo get_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="<?php _e('Permanent Link:','habitat')?> <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?>
    </a>
    </h1>

    <!--

    including the comment code which by the way is the wrong way round.

    You should also adjust the:

    /*
    Template Name: Full Width
    */

    code to use a different template name (having 2 pages with the same template name is only going to cause problems).

    Change it to:

    /*
    Template Name: Full Width Copy
    */
