    Is there a filter to change what image sizes are created? Or do I have to hack the core file?

    Hi thatryan!

    I am not sure I am completely following. Which images are you looking to change the size of? Could you explain what you want to achieve.

    I mean to stop registering of a lot of the media sizes. We do not use most of them and I do not want to have to run optimization for so many..

    Hi!

    Try to install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and remove all sizes you don’t want to use from the database. (Settings > Media).
