Tagged: Remove Sorting Pulldown

I only have 5 products, all of which show on the front page via the products item in the page template. They do not require an option to sort them.
I’d like to remove “Showing all 5 results” and, below that, “Default sorting” with the pull down menu. Can you assist me in removing those somehow?
Thanks.March 6, 2013 at 2:45 pm #109695
We’ll need to take a look at the site live. The theme shouldn’t be outputting either of those and I suspect its something to do with the WooCommerce update as it added some new things to the loop.

Yes, indeed, it did start happening when woocommerce was updated. I also got a strange message when I updating saying the the theme didn’t properly identify itself as a woocommerce theme and perhaps I should try one of the themes they sell (I’m paraphrasing that.)
Another odd thing started happening, as well: when I got to a product detail page, it bounces to the bottom of the page.
and the problem on the home page, of course, is at http://www.websitetogether.com (testsite)

The site is under password protection so I’m not able to view it.
Update woocommerce to 2.0.2 and it should fix the other issue (from other users reports).
If you can email me the site information so I can view it, we’ll look at the other issue:
You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)

I gave you that info. in my message above, in the parens after the links.
WooCommers is at 2.0.3 right now and the 2 problems are still there. Do I need to try to go back a version of woocommerce?March 15, 2013 at 10:14 pm #109699
Insalled new version of Replete, which fixed the front page issue. Did not fix the second issue: click on any of my product badges and you’ll see it starts to open the page, then suddenly jumps down to the bottom of the page for some reason. login is testsite. Please take a look when you can. Thank you.March 18, 2013 at 1:08 am #109700
Still hoping for help with the fact that my product pages are bouncing down to just above the footer when I click on a product on the home page…or anywhere else a product shows. A viewer should not have to scroll back up to read about the product. I have done zero customization on this, not sure what could be causing this problem, could someone take a look please?March 18, 2013 at 2:32 am #109701
When clicking on any of the products I was not brought down to the product tabs so I’m not sure what is causing the error on your end.

It stopped doing it! I moved my domain to a VPS hosting package and the problem went away. I don’t have the slightest idea why that would have made any difference but I offer it as a hint in case anyone else has a problem. My host is Hostgator, btw. Thanks Devin!March 18, 2013 at 5:25 pm #109703
