    How do you remove the orange underline from an image link that’s in a custom (text/html) footer widget?

    I scanned the forum and found a similar solution: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/remove-underline-from-rss-button

    I’ve pasted the “border-bottom: none !important;” line in several areas in the footer section of the style.css, but it never worked. I can’t figure out the correct line for insertion.

    Hey,

    Can you post a link to your page with the problem?

    I could provide general code, but as you’ve already seen generalised code won’t necessarially work and I’d prefer to provide the correct solution.

    Thanks James,

    It’s http://www.peachtreetechnologies.com and it’s the newsletter link in the footer.

    Also do you know of an easy way to make it a rollover button? I could create a rollover it in Dreamweaver, but then there’s all the javascript code that I would have to implement somewhere and could affect the site.

    Hey,

    please change the link text:

    <a href="http://www.peachtreetechnologies.com/contact-peachtree-technologies/">
    <img width="160" height="56" src="http://www.peachtreetechnologies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/newsletter3.jpg">
    </a>

    to:

    <a href="http://www.peachtreetechnologies.com/contact-peachtree-technologies/" style="border:none !important;">
    <img width="160" height="56" src="http://www.peachtreetechnologies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/newsletter3.jpg">
    </a>

    You can use css and images (or an image sprite) to create a rollover effect.
