How do I remove the credits from the footer? I don’t want to remove the whole footer because I like the social networking links at the bottom.
Also how do you remove the ‘top’ link as well?December 21, 2011 at 1:31 pm #59100
Edit the theme files (either in an external editor or within wordpress) and edit Footer.php, look for this bit of code (I’ve included the comment before it as that’s easy to spot)Code:
I’ve already edited the footer there (and added the privacy and TOS links) but in your files there will be the credit you want to remove and you can add any other links you may want there.
To remove the Scroll To Top link just comment out (or remove if you are so inclined) this line of code just below the previous section:Code:echo “<li class=’phone’>“.__(‘scroll to top’,’avia_framework’).”“;December 22, 2011 at 3:45 am #59101July 31, 2013 at 11:48 pm #59102
hi, had put [nolink] in the footer area and that removed credits as well as ‘top’ link.
wanted to keep the ‘top’ link, so removed [nolink] and
removed the following from footer.php:
$kriesi_at_backlink = apply_filters(“kriesi_backlink”, ” – Enfold Theme by Kriesi“);
still am missing the ‘top’ link, how to get the ‘top’ link back?

Do you have the Enfold theme?
If you want to remove the kriesi backlink, find this code:
$kriesi_at_backlink = apply_filters("kriesi_backlink", " - <a href='http://www.kriesi.at'>Enfold Theme by Kriesi</a>");
Replace it with
$kriesi_at_backlink = apply_filters("kriesi_backlink", "");
To bring the top button back, find this code:
Add this code on top:
<a href='#top' id='scroll-top-link' class='avia-font-entypo-fontello'></a>
