It says for $49 I can pay for a pro account and remove the cu3er logo:
Has anyone done this with the display theme???
or know how?
Hey,
It's not something I'm aware you could do (to be fair it's never been asked and I've never needed to remove the logo for a client). If you need help setting up a Cub3r Pro account please refer to their helpdesk / support centre.
I imagine they'll provide documentation / instructions on how to make the changes to remove the logo (at a guess they'll provide a separate SWF file you would need to upload in place of the existing one).
Strictly speaking this is a modification and beyond the scope of this support forum however I'll try to help if I can and you have specific questions.

Hi there,
I bought the Display theme - you use the Cub3r slider for many of your themes, but as you know we are not allowed to use the Cub3r slider commercially without a Pro License.
I've bought this Cub3r Pro License and now have no idea on how to upgrade the slider so that it no longer displays the Cub3r logo.
On the Cub3r website, they've tried their best to make it as difficult as possible to create your own slider PLUS I have no idea whether this slider will work with your Mainpage Slider Control panel since every little detail, form the left & right arrows, etc are different to the Default "free" version.
Question: how can I just get the default free version used in the Display theme - but without the Cub3r logo (and with the Cub3r option to create my own logo preloader)?
Can you please advise what to do urgently.
Thanks
The free version isn't available without logo. I'm not sure if Kriesi's configuration file is compatible with the new versions of Cu3er. Because of horrible license fees no theme author can integrate Cu3er 1.x in his themes. I'm sorry - the integration of a newer version of cu3er is a major customization (needs testing, tweaking, etc.) which we can't help you with. Maybe you want to hire a freelancer for it. The only thing you can try is to replace the swf file with your "new" pro swf file and to use the "new" config.xml file. Maybe it works.
I was wondering if this has since been resolved for the Brightbox theme? I see that it uses what appears to be the new version of Cu3er + wpCu3er, which looks like it has the same $49 fee for commercial use and logo removal (https://getcu3er.com/signup). I do not mind paying the extra $49 for the pro version of Cu3er, I just want to make sure it is a simple conversion from the free to the pro license.
Brightbox uses the newest Cu3er version - it's the commercial version but doesn't allow logo removal. You can buy the pro version for $49 - then replace the swf file which comes with Brightbox with the "pro version" swf file. (Actually you can build your own swf with a different logo/branding or no logo/branding).
