    Hi,

    I saw there was another thread with a similar question, but no real answer to it, as the guy said he figured it out.

    Well, I haven’t.

    I’d need to know how to remove the RSS icon (I only need a FB one) from the top of the header. Can’t seem to find the code to delete or figure out what to add to the custom css.

    Please help!

    The site will not need to have a subscribe option as it will not have a blog.

    Hey,

    open up header.php and delete following line:

    echo '	<li class="rss"><a href="'.avia_get_option('feedburner',get_bloginfo('rss2_url')).'">RSS</a></li>';

    Hi,

    No good.

    When you remove that bit of code, yes the RSS icon disappears, but the sliding info box does not work properly and also the FB icon moves it’s position.

    Somehow the RSS icon is the one “that keeps things together in their right places”.

    The site must go live today, so I can’t leave it in ‘broken’ state for you to have a look at, but please do give more suggestions, that I can try out late at night when no one is looking… :)

    Thanks!

    Ok – let’s hide it. Open up css/custom.css and add following code to the file:

    .social_bookmarks .rss {

    display: none;

    }

    I’m trying to get rid of the RSS button as well. Hiding it with the custom.css did not work on my site. Deleting that line in header.php did do it, but I’d like to move the CLOSE button closer to the other buttons.

    Hi,

    Please restore your header.php. Add this on your custom.css or Quick CSS. You don’t need to fix the spacing.

    .rss {
    display: none;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Thank you for your response. I added that code to custom.css and it does remove the rss button. Here is what I’m talking about with spacing, with the RSS button:

    And without:

    Is there a way to move the close button to the right so the spacing is the same as in the first example?

    Hey!

    Insert following code into the quick css field:

    #top .close_info_text {
    right: 0px;
    }

    Regards,

    Peter

    Thanks for your response. I added that code to the custom.css, and it looks like it moved over a little, but there’s still a lot of space between the logo on the left and the close button. Any way to get the space equal to what it was before, with all the buttons there?

    Hi!

    Please use a negative value like:

    #top .close_info_text {
    right: -10px;
    }

    if -10px is still not enough try -15px, etc.

    Regards,

    Peter

    I tried that, but with the negative values the close button starts to disappear into the yellow, so with 15px I only see clos (missing the e).

    Hi!

    Ok, please post a link to your website – I’ll check the css code and search for a solution.

    Regards,

    Peter
