Hi,

Although the solution provided for my ticket http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/pre-load-a-portfolio-item-in-a-portfolio-page sounds like working perfectly the other night, but there is a hidden issue that is;

When the user clicks on an already open item (thumb/title), the consequent clicks on other items will not respond and will not load related portfolio item, the issue persist even with rolling back scroll_top fix (by Ismael) .

Please include the javascript Ismael/I provided in the last thread and post a link to your website. Afaik the trigger function (which I'm using in the script) just simulates a click and it doesn't "hijack" or block other user inouts or other events.

The "Nice Image" item is preloaded nicely, but if you click on it's link the other links became irresponsive, tested on FF, Chrome, Safari.

I tagged this thread for Kriesi because I can't provide another "quick" hack and it's probably a bug in the portfolio ajax function which doesn't accept more than one click event on the same item. You can try to increase the trigger delay to 1000 (instead of 600) or you can try to change the click target from ".ajax_portfolio_container .portfolio-title:first a" to ".ajax_portfolio_container .portfolio-entry-overview .slideshow_media_wrap:first a"

Well, after spending few hours with firebug it turns out to be a general bug in ajax loaded portfolios. Even without my requirement to preload the first item, the same issue appears with fresh theme installation in ajax loaded portfolio sample pages. This is not the case in Choices online demo where avia.js is slightly different than the packaged one ;)

I've managed to get myself going by modifying the load_item method fn.avia_ajax_portfolio function around line 258

From :
if(post_id === is_open) {return false;}

To:
if(post_id === is_open) { animating = false; return false;}

I'm not sure if this is the right fix, but everything is just working fine.
