Looking to use Nextgen for its powerful organization features, which works fine, but like the width of the 3 column page.

The only issue is that I want a background image, but then it puts it into at the bottom of the post page as well. How can I remove the bottom thumbnail but still keep the background?

Hi SoftFocus,

Pick the option for the gallery layout that reads "As background slider only". That should do it :)

That takes it away, but not what Im looking for as I want the width of the 3 column option. Selecting background only makes the page area much thinner

So maybe the best would be if you could give me code to increase the width of the "As background slider only" to match that of 3 column?

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:
```
#top.single-post .container.bg_gallery .content .box {
width: 660px;
}
```

I've edited the above css a bit, it should be:

#top.single-post .container.bg_gallery .content .box {
width: 660px;
}

You'll also need to add the following to adjust the sidebar:

#top.single-post .container.bg_gallery .sidebar2.sidebar_absolute {
left: 942px;
}

ah sorry one last thing, I moved that from a blog post to a portfolio, how can I extend the portfolio pages to be the same?

Just add this

width: 660px;
}

#top.single-portfolio  .container.bg_gallery .sidebar2.sidebar_absolute {
left: 942px;
}
