I would really like to replace the RSS icon with a 'Search' icon, and when clicked I would like the search bar to slide out nudging the other social media icons along to make room for it.
I really want add the search function up there but don't want the search bar always fully visible.
Is this possible?

it's possible, however this requires too much editing for it to be within the scope of the support forum. We can help you with adding a search function, but the click - slide & nudge effect is something we can't help you with.

Ok I understand that it might be too much work to add the fancy search.
If we can add a search function to sit inside the social media container at the top (to the right of the RSS) and it respects the responsive nature of this theme then I would be more than happy with that.
