Hello Kriesi team,
Is it possible to have rollover images on taxonomy pages? meaning that when the user mouses over a product thumb image on a category or on a tag page then a second featured image shows up there?

It is most likely possible but it would be a customization we aren't able to assist with as that kind of customization is quite a bit beyond what we can do via support.
Your best route would be looking into a freelance developer who could assist with that.
