    My RSS link in the footer (when clicked) brings up a bunch of unstyled XML code. To be honest, i’m not a very big RSS feed user, so i’m not entirely sure how it’s expected to work or if i need to add a RSS pluggin to get it to work.

    Thanks for your time.

    Sidenote as well: is it possible to override the shortcode stylings within individual pages?

    rss uses xml to broadcast the data. You need a rss reader software like: google reader, Chrome rss extension or you can use Firefox which offers a simple rss module/reader out of the box.

    2) Yes that’s possible. WordPress applies a class to each post/page body tag which contains the id of this post/page. On archive pages it lists the category(ies). The class for posts looks like: postid-282, for pages it looks like: page-id-37 (the number is the id)

    How do i just remove the RSS link?

    Thanks in advance

    depending on your theme you can remove the rss link in sidebar.php or footer.php (Coalition uses sidebar.php). Open up the file and delete following line:

    echo "		<li class='rss'><a href='".avia_get_option('feedburner',get_bloginfo('rss2_url'))."'>RSS</a></li>";
