    Hi,

Can you please guide me how to activate scroll down arrow in full screen layer slider.

    Thanks

    Hey asadfarooq,

That is something which does not come as default with the theme, you would have to use a Color Section element to achieve that. If you should need any further help on the topic then please post a link to your site so that we can have a look at it.

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard,

I have the same request as asadfarooq. I have a full width slide show on my home page and some users did not understand that there is content below the slider because the image fills the entier height auf die window. So a scroll down arrow would be a nice help in terms of a good user interface. Can you help me here?

    Hi @Metasequ0ia,

Could you post a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?

    Thanks,

    Hi!

Replace the full width slider with the full screen slider then enable the arrow. (Display a scroll down arrow)

    Cheers!

    Hi Ismael,

thanks for your response. This is not a good solution because the full screen slider has no buttons like the full with slider. It has the scroll down arrow which is very nice, but I have to display the buttons. So, I need the full with slider with down arrow, or the full screen slider with buttons.
Any chance to have this in an upcoming release or with a small patch?

    Hi,

We would be glad to help you with this customization, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet, so I am afraid its out of the scope of our support.

But please feel free to request such feature at our feature request system: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/

This system allows us to keep track of user suggestions and lets you vote on the feature you would like to see the most. I am afraid though there is no guarantee that a feature will get implemented. If that’s something you really need you can always try to hire a developer for the task :)

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

thanks for your answer. Ok, I did a feature request as you suggested.

    Ticket can be closed.

    Hi @Metasequ0ia,

Great, thanks for that and the feedback :-)

Great to see this has been ignored since forever! Having a simple down arrow on the bottom of your full screen layerslider is essential!
I can’t believe this is so hard.
Making things like this SO hard to do, just tempts me further away from Enfold – it is getting too difficult to work with compared to other builder options out there.

    Hi Heathcliffe,

Layer Slider is not written by Enfold and do we are not in the position to add functionality to it. You might want to ask the Layer Slider team for the feature.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria

I realise that @Victoria but providing the html code for an arrow that works within the Enfold embed of the plugin would help ;)

    Hi Heathcliffe,

Here are some threads to consider:

If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Thanks Victoria,
I did consider them before contacting support, but they do not work. If you take a look, one of the suggestions is actually to NOT use the Layerslider at all. These are so old, I can get as far as a down arrow but seem unable to move it to the bottom middle of the screen.
Its a shame that nothing reported here in the forums actually gets filtered back to the devs. I had a reply notification from a bug I reported 5 years ago – it is still a bug. When you include bloated code to add extra functionality to your theme, one would expect you to support that code as much as you can.

    Hi Heathcliffe,

I do not decide what gets implemented and what does not, I am here to help our customers within the limits of the support policies as much as I can.

I cannot tell you why or when it is implemented or not.

    Victoria

I appreciate that Victoria, I really do. But I feel Enfold has lost its way. There are so many inconsistencies throughout the various avia elements that it is hard to remember what is best for what use. For example, some components allow you to change the font colour, others do not. Some allow you to change font size, others do not. They are really simple things to implement. I have purchased unlimited licences for both Elementor and Oxygen. With each new project I work on, I get closer to giving them a go. Please feel free to pass this to Mr K himself ;)

    Hi Heathcliffe,

Thank you for sharing how you feel about Enfold. Our devs were focusing on the performance update recently and so maybe they will focus on things like that in the next updates.

    Hi,
Please try this solution for adding a down arrow to a layerslider, I have just tested to ensure that it works.
Please add a new html layer to your slide, and drag it into place and resize it to around 60px square, it doesn’t need to be exact.
Then in the layerslider content box for the html layer, please add:

    <a href="#next-section" title="" class="scroll-down-link" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello"></a>

    and save.
If you add any more layers afterwards, such as a overlay, ensure the html layer is on top so you can click it.
