So I've gone through the setup, but can't seem to get my site to come up in a google search, or any other search, at all. Not sure how to work with SEO settings on the main page.
Thoughts?

You can use seo plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/ which can improve your seo rank dramatically (if you configure them properly).
