I’m trying to change the background color of the columns elements created via dynamic template.
The problem is that when I change their colour (modifying the property background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #BCBCBC;) also the posts’ background changes color (this is due to the same class .post-entry shared by both the posts and the column elements).
How can I change the div class used by the column elements in order to modify them only?
    Thank you!

    Hey matteora!

Can you please give us a link to the page where you want to change the column colors? A screenshot will help.

    Hi again Ismael!

The website is the same of the other topic, with the same recommendations for the redirect: YhYYQL

I’ve chosen a very odd color (grey #bcbcbc) so you can easily find the parts I was talking about.
I’d like to have only the bottom part (the columns) with a different color and not also the featured posts part…

I’m sorry but the link you provided is incorrect. Please generate it again. It is the same with your other thread.

    Best regards,

    Hi Ismael,
    thank you for the answer.

I’ve already written why I used such an odd URL in the other thread, let me paste again the link: YhYYQL

Just be sure to paste the entire line in the browser’s address bar and remove the space in the middle: I’ve just double checked and the link works properly when the 2 parts are joined together ;)

Can you post a screenshot and show how you would like them to look? I am not sure if i understood it clearly :/

    Hi Yigit,
I’ve actually worked out this problem, I’ve been able to add a css style (background color) only to the columns area.

But as you can see from the screenshot linked below, using a dynamic template consisting of the elements Blog and Columns, the sidebar pushes down the columns element creating an odd empty space below the featured posts slideshow.

Is there any way to allow the sidebar to cover ALL the right part of the hopemage, from the top to the bottom, having at its left other columns elements?

    Thank you very much!

    Hey Matteo!

Glad you figured it out! I saw that you have already started a topic about sidebar issue, so i will post it there. Closing this one for now!
