The Read More link below the audio player on my home page is linking back to the home page rather than the corresponding sermon single page. I have a page slug defined in the sermon settings. Thoughts?

Thank you for the question. I hope all is well with you today.
Can you please give us a link to the website? Please deactivate all existing plugins, see if the issue persist.

I am well, thank you.
The only active plugin is bbPress. I did add a bit of code to produce a download link, but I seemed to have the problem with or without it.

We read the document you referenced, however that doesn’t seem to be the issue. The permalinks are fine site wide. It is just the Read More-> link that the widget is generating that isn’t pointing to the right page.

How are those two previews added into the layout? The wrappers look incorrect for the themes widget so I’m just not sure what exactly is creating that output.

I think I found the cause of the problem. Please try to modify wp-content/themes/incarnation/includes/helper-template-dynamic.php to fix the issue. Open up the file and replace:
$content .= '<p><a class="more-link" href="'. $permalink .'"><span class="inner_more">'.__('Read more','avia_framework').'<span class="more-link-arrow"> →</span>'.'</span></a></p>';
$content .= '<p><a class="more-link" href="'. $link .'"><span class="inner_more">'.__('Read more','avia_framework').'<span class="more-link-arrow"> →</span>'.'</span></a></p>';
