the sermons started preloading and playing when entering the sermons page.
I’ve seen your answer for some other guy here with the same problem and did the changes in code.
It worked, but not entirely… in some browsers it doesn’t preload… I’ve tested in on Mac with
But on different PCs it still is preloading or worse… the files start preloading and playing all together,
for example in FF 22 and Chrome…. in IE10 the playbutton dissapears, but it works…
there is a inconsistency within the player in diffrent browsers…

Can you give us a link to your website? The theme is using the HTML5 <audio> tag, it is true that there are browsers that currently don’t fully support the element. You can use some audio plugins like http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-audio-player/ and http://wordpress.org/plugins/haiku-minimalist-audio-player/.

Ok, I understand. I didn’t thought it would use HTML5… thought it would play with flash…
I installed wp-audio-player as a try… it works, but currently both audio players play simultaneously, how can I deactivate your player?

Please add this on your custom.css to hide the default player:
Then edit functions.php, find and remove this code:
wp_register_script( 'avia-html5-video', AVIA_BASE_URL.'js/mediaelement/mediaelement-and-player.min.js', 'jquery', "1", true);

it doesn’t work. As previously mentioned I did the changes in code from this post: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/sermon-two-questions
to prevent from preloading. but now all sermons start simultaneously…
when I changed the functions.php and css to hide your player…. both players didn’t show, but the sermons started autoplaying nonetheless…
here the situation without your last changes:

If you remove the audio file from the sermon then it shouldn’t load in any longer. The same with the function change since it removes the script that plays the items from loading in.
So first, try removing the audio file from your Sermon as well as using the code from Ismael above and rolling back the changes you made to prevent preloading since you wouldn’t be using the theme player any longer.

sorry for being a pain in the a**….
but if I remove the audio file from the sermon…ehm… isn’t this the whole point of an audio sermon?… I’m confused…
or is there an other way of adding audio?

From a week ago you posted:

So if you wanted to use that other plugin for the audio, this would be how you would do it.
