If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
“demonstration on how its done” link is broken in “Replete WordPress Theme” Documentation by “Kriesi” v1.0
I want to create a menu like it is in demo file. Could you, please, help me in this?
Sorry about that! We are in the process of creating some new documentation but the same menu system for Replete is in place in Abundance and the video file for that is here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/abundance/templates/video-tutorials/#menu
The videos were useful.
Please, help me to understand the logic of menu construction.
In demo you have menu that displays product categories (like “Men”) and its subcategories.
Is it true? Or they are pages or just wordpress categories?
The issue is that I want product categories to be visible in menu. I am creating a product category, but I do not know how to add it to the menu.
The categories are links to the categories created automatically by the woo commerce plugin. You can either add them as custom menu items or add them from the Product Categories meta box.
So on the Replete demo, this is the URL for the category “featured”: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/replete/product-category/featured/
On your installation it may be a different URL structure but you could add this to your menu as a custom URL and name it whatever you like and it would bring the user to that page to see that group of products.
