    Hello,

    When i try to share a post to Facebook, the post is shared succesfully on Facebook. The issue is though that as an image, instead of showing the blog post image, it shows an image of Google Plus icon. Why is that and how do i fix this?

    Hi!

    You need to set an og:image tag so Facebook can fetch that as the thumbnail image, you can do that with a plugin like:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-open-graph/

    Have tried this and still does not work. I also tried to serach for other plugins of similar nature but none work.

    Shouldnt this feature work without the need of a plugin? And if a plugin is needed for the share function to work shouldnt it be bundled in the theme?

    It really is a shame because if a plugin is needed to make this work, that means a lot of work for all websites that use Enfold.

    Hi!

    It’s more of a user preferences thing. Are you using WordPress SEO by Yoast? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/

    If so then navigate to Dashboard > SEO > Social and enable the open graph meta data option. Though I think the plugin Josue listed should be working as well.

    If that’s still not working then send us a link to your post so we can check to see if the meta tag is being set correctly.
