Hi I am trying to display my featured products in the exact same manner as the Template Builder “Products Element” with the Shop Slider Row using Short Code.
The reason being is because I want to display them in a tab, and have the other tabs display other information.
Is this possible?
This is what I have so far.Code:[tab_container initial_open=”1″]
[tab title=”Featured Products”][featured_products per_page=”4″ columns=”4″ orderby=”date” order=”asc”][/tab]
[tab title=”New Arrivals”][/tab]
[tab title=”Top Four”]
[products ids=”529, 532, 4131, 2942, 2949, 529, 532, 4131, 2942, 529″ per_page=”10″][/tab]
[/tab_container]August 21, 2013 at 6:51 pm #136669
That element from the template builtder isn’t available as a shortcode so what you have now is probably as close as you’ll be able to get.

Do you know if there is a way to get the products to scroll horizontally like the latest products do?
Thank you.August 24, 2013 at 5:11 am #136671
Can you give us a screenshot of what you’re trying to do?
I will suggest that you assign a unique category for the featured products like “Featured” then use the Template Builder and create dynamic template with the Product element. Select the category “Featured” to show all of the featured products.

Hi that is very close to what I thought of doing.
But I have a dynamic template set up with 3 tabs Tab One for Featured Products ( which could be as you have said just a category), Tab Two for New Arrivals, Tab Three for Top Ten Products. The issue is how can I get the products to scroll horizontal like they do for “latest products” on the demo home page, but be inside each of the 3 tabs?

A screenshot will help. Please post it here. You can use imgur, dropbox etc.

Unfortunately as I said before there is no function to get the scrolling effect inside another element without using a plugin or custom code added to a shortcode of your own.
