If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
When I’m in the text editor either in normal or visual editor mode and I click the magic wand. I only get 3 shortcodes to use. Drop Cap 1, Drop Cap 2, and Font Icon.
I am using Firefox 21.0 on a Mac running 10.8.3
There are more shortcodes available correct?
In the Advanced Layout Editor’s Texbox the shortcodes are limited to what will work within that text box.
In the regular visual editor however there should be all available shortcodes (layout elements, media elements etc). First make sure you have the most recent version of the theme files installed which I believe is 1.5.1 right now. Second, disable any active plugins you have running including drop-ins like Jetpack to make sure there isn’t a conflict with the theme.
I’m running 1.5.1 and also I only have the plug-ins installed that need to be running on the site. When I am running in Chrome the shortcode flyout seems to be ok. I noticed the bug in firefox as stated above.
Try to increase your wp memory limit, see if it fixes the issue.
So in the promo box and the text area widgets using the visual editor I can only see these. There for I am assuming that I cannot enter other shortcodes into these text boxes?
