Shoutbox: is there an optimized image size?

I know Shoutbox automatically resizes images fort he various formats used within the theme, but can someone tell me if there is an "ideal size" to upload that will best satisfy all the resized options?

Hey!

As far as I know there's no "ideal" size. However you don't need to use images bigger than 940x390px.

Hi Dude,

I'm posting this bcs it might help others.
After playing around a bit I found that a default image size of 680x300 seems to work with well for all image re sizes.

Hi!

If you want to use fullwidth slideshows/layouts I'd use bigger images with at least 940px width because WP can't upscale images (eg from 680 to 940px).
